The action started early at our investigation
of Sidetracks Bar. It seemed the spirits were ready to put on a show for us. During a pre-investigation reception
that the crew of Sidetracks held for us, the music sound system decided to turn itself off; three times. According to
the owner, that had never happened before. As we were setting up for the investigation, our video camera turned itself
off. We knew then it was going to be an eventful night.
We broke our investigation
off into groups. Lori investigated the upstairs, while Blakel took the downstairs. Upstairs, Lori held a
conversation with whom we believe to be Anastasia. She would answer Lori's questions mainly with E.M.F. spikes of yellow to
orange, and the occasional E.V.P. response (E.V.P. stands for Electronic Voice Phenomenon). While conducting our
upstairs investigation, all three team members heard the distinct sound of a man taking a deep breath. Even stranger,
all three team members heard it from a different location. Upon moving our investigation into the owner's office upstairs,
all three members heard something banging around in the storage closet next door. When Lori went to check it
out, she was nearly floored as "something" ran right through her on it's way out the door.
Our downstairs team
had its fair share of encounters, also. We had a motion sensor camera set up about three quarters of the way down
the downstairs hallway. "Someone" was caught at the end of the hallway, not wanting to be captured by our camera.
All three team members heard the sound of pacing footsteps coming from the end of the hallway, behind the camera. When
Blake stated that the spirit didn't want to pass the motion sensor, our E.V.P. captured the reply, "No."
Blake was chased out of the kitchen by a spirit; Lori had her hair pulled and Blake actually saw a shadow coming
at him from the corner. We believe the spirit to have been identified as "Maxwell." Daniel had perhaps the
strangest results of the night. He had about five minutes worth of E.V.P. in the kitchen where all of his questions seemed
to be answered by dings, chimes, and bangs of what sounds like various dishware. You can hear everything from the ding
of fine crystal stemware to the banging of the bottom of a pot. We were not able to post this E.V.P. yet because it
is incredibly long, and loses its effect without hearing the whole thing.
At the end of our investigation,
we began to gather our gear, taking down the motion sensor in the process. Immediately thereafter, Lori and Blake were
followed into the kitchen by the sounds of sticky footsteps. It seems that whatever spirit was trapped behind the motion
camera was now free to roam where he or she wanted. Check out our photo gallery and E.V.P. clips to see and hear
more from this investigation. We definitely feel that Sidetracks is a very active location and look forward to the opportunity
for a revisit.
