What can we say but, wow! We really had no idea just how creepy this place would be.
We made a trip to the cemetery the afternoon before the investigation, just to make sure we could find the place, as well
as to try to locate any signs of Mary Jane's grave. During the day, the cemetery is calm, quiet, and peaceful.
At night, however, it's a completely different story. Imagine the darkest dark you have ever experienced. The
moon does not even penetrate through the treeline, creating the effect of "true black."
As soon as we entered the cemetery, the darkness overwhelmed us. Our flashlights
barely penetrated the darkness ten feet in front of us. We immediately made our way to the famous tree where many of
the rumored hauntings seem to originate from. We sat under the tree, surveying our surroundings for a few minutes and
taking readings with E.M.F., E.V.P, and digital video recorders. All at once the action began. While Patrick was
sitting under the tree, he began asking a series of questions involving the legends behind Mary Jane. Lori's E.M.F.
began to flash to red repeatedly in response to certain questions. Also, Lori suddenly had a terrifying feeling that
a female was standing behind her, which was actually verifyed by an outline of a female captured in a picture taken at the
A later line of questions by Patrick lead the team to believe that the rumors about Mary Jane and witchcraft
may have some truth to them. The E.M.F. flashed to red when asked if she was a witch, and a second time when Patrick
asked for verification. At the end of the investigation, the team was chased from the graveyard by who we think was
Mary Jane. All in all, no one was sad to be leaving.
We, without a doubt, classify this cemetery as red on our Haunting Scale.
We do not recommend anyone go there, as the spirits there do not have good intentions. We are hesitant to even
say that we would do a revisit, given the opportunity.
