The Historic Washington County Courthouse

History:  Built in 1905, the Historic Washington County Courthouse was actually the fifth courthouse built in Washington County.  Prior to its construction, all previous courthouses were located on the Fayetteville square, on or near the site of the Old Post Office.  Little Rock architect Charles L. Thompson was chosen to draw up the plans for the new courthouse which cost $100,000 to construct.
