We received this e-mail from Dawn in response to an earlier e-mail we received...VERY interesting!

In reference to Mr. Matt's story about his trip TO the battlefield and the cats.  I can verify the white cat or cats not sure which.

I live on part of the origional battleground in Prairie Grove.  I've seen a White cat that is so huge that the first time i saw it i thought someone was playing a pratical joke on us and dumped a little lamb in our backyard.  To my absolute surprise when this "lamb" came closer it was a male cat!...He was HUGE!.  I've seen a male white cat fitting that discription at least 6x in the last 7 months but haven't seen him in a few weeks now.  When i read Matt's story that he related and the HUGE white cats both myself and my son looked at each other and chills ran up our spine as we both have seen this cat.

Our interest peaked quite a bit.  I am an avid believer of the spirit world and I've seen alot as far as spirits, ghosts, and demons go.  My father is a minister and his very first pastorate was in a very tiny town in southern, IL.  The parsonage was a 102 years old house and was the former mortuary of the town.  The demonic presence was extremely strong in that home and i will never forget it and to this day it makes me ill and even frightens me to talk about the experiences we had there.  So as you can see i come by my intrest naturally since i experienced it.  You have to understand it.  Why i don't know but you just have to, it's something that never leaves you and you have to find some explination to maybe verify you aren't psychotic or crazy.

My youngest son, who is 13, and myself decided to go at just before dusk on October 7th of this year to the prairie grove battlefield park as we live almost right behind it.  We knew you all were supposed to be out there.  We didn't know if you were there or not but we took my digital camera with us and also i am in a motorized wheelchair.  Immediately when we started down the mile walk we were pelted by things falling from the trees.  There were no squirrles in them and there were no winds but we were getting birraged.  We had gone with a full charge in 2 sets of batteries for my camera and when i went to snap pictures all the juice in all 4 of the batteries were absolutely drained so we got no pictures.  The further we went on the path the darker, I began to realize, it was getting.  I noticed things out of the corner of my eyes that made me go hmmm but didn't want to tell my son as he was already nervously chatting.  There were snapping twigs that could not be explained away and also i saw two small yellow lights at the base of the hill where everyone sits to watch the civil war re-enactment every even year.  Then i noticed that the battery on my chair was dangerously low and it too had a generous charge when we arrived.  I began to get worried because i'm no lightweight but do to skeletal issues and other diseases i cannot walk very well let alone get up a hill.  My youngest son ended up pushing me the rest the way to the van which was no small feight bless his heart.  During this time i heard what i thought was drums but just tried to explain it away with traffic or something else.  Also we could not shake the feeling that we were being watched.  My son had asked me if i smelled that awful odor.  I didn't but he said it smelled kind of like rotten eggs and after reading your site sulfur can have the same odor as rotten eggs.  When we arrived back home the charge on my battery for my chair was back to what it was when we started on our walk at the park.  My son brought this to my attention when he was getting the chair out of the van.  Normally we go to the garage and THEN get the chair out.  They take it to the front door because the backdoor is too narrow and there are steps.  So since my batteries were so low, (down to 1 dot in the red compared to 6 dots and in the green), i stopped at the front of the house so he could unload it and not have far to go toget it in the house.  when my son brought this to my attention he said, "hey mom your battery is charged back up to what it was!"  i said, "no way!" and just before he said YES someone in a low very audible voice said "HEY".  I looked around puzzled because at first i thought it was my oldest son because it sounded a little like him.  I looked all over it was just my youngest son and me.  I then asked my youngest son if that was HIM who had said "HEY"  he looked at me and i looked at him and he said, "yes i did say hey i said hey mom remember?"  i said, "no it was just the word HEY and it almost sounded like your bother."  He said, "no mom, Jeffrey isn't out here" to which i replied that i knew that because i had looked around.  It came from right behind my youngest son and when i told him that he hurriedly got the chair out of the van and flew to the house.  It had been quite sometime since i had seen him move so fast but i have to admit it sent chills up my spine as well.

I have always thought that something had to be here on the battleground because there is not a day that goes by that i do not feel i'm being watched by someone on my own property. With all the carnage that took place there SOMETHING has to be there and now after our little walk through the park at dusk just cements my beliefs.

I am sitting on pins and needles waiting to see what you found out with your investigations on the night of October 7, 2006.

Sincerely,

Mrs. Dawn M. Musick
