Ohio State Reformatory - Rating: Green

We went to Mansfield, OH to take one of the Ohio State Penetentiary ghost tours.  The building is famous for its role in the Shawshank Redemption, as well as from its history as one of the most violent prisons in the United States.  We had a wonderful time during our trip to Ohio, and had an enjoyable investigation, though the amount of people present made accurate results difficult to obtain.

We spent much of our investigation talking with guides about their personal experiences and exploring the vastness of the Ohio Reformatory.  We explored some of the more haunted areas of the prison, including the Warden's Office, the Assistant Warden's Living Quarters, the East Cell Block (known for it's "X" from T.A.P.S.), the Tuberculosis Ward, and other areas.  We got the best results in the Warden's living quarters, where we actually came in contact with the Warden's wife.

Most of our results, as previously mentioned, were tainted by the sheer amount of people present.  All of our E.V.P. has the sounds of other groups stomping about, doors opening and closing (not in the paranormal sense), and voices of passers-by.  We would love to one day have an exclusive, or at least restricted, visit of the prison.
