LeHunt, KS Cement Plant - Rating: Green

Well we were off to Kansas. Yes, Independence Kansas.  Here lies a old broken down cement plant that is extremely large in nature.  Our team hiked about 1 mile in and to discover the largest area we have ever encountered.  This place is a mystery.  There is not much information on this place and was difficult to get to.  We encountered animals and mazes in this location, its large area in the dark is difficult to get around in.  We began our investigation around 10:30 P.M. and was alittle un-nerved to be so deep in the woods, it looked like a small town had been abandoned there. We climbed walls and hills and through thick brush to encounter the Old Smoke Stack. It was amazing to see in its original state.  All kinds of graffiti, which is such a senseless display of inmaturity (people please quit defacing such greatness!!!)  This place was beautiful.  However, we did hear strange noises and did get the feeling we were not alone but not overwhelming.  This place is of mystery but not to sure about haunted.  I do believe there are spirits but the legend I do not believe to be true.  A wonderful place to explore anyway we had a blast!
